The national deputy of the PRO, Sabrina Ajmechet, harshly crossed her counterpart from Unión por la Patria, Carolina Gaillard, during the debate of the new Bases law that began this Monday in the Chamber of Deputies. She denounced “an act of discrimination,” she detailed that Gaillard had wanted to insult her by using the word “Zionist” and accused her of being “anti-Semitic.”
Gaillard was coming from an argument with UCR deputy Karina Banfi, who sent her to take an anti-anxiety medication for “being out of sorts.” “I am vehement and passionate. I never speculate. Nor do I cook laws with my back turned to my people, which is why I am angry that they decide, with the endorsement of the block of UCR deputies, to vote by chapters without particular discussion. That’s why Karina Banfi yells at me ‘she takes a rivotril’ in a regrettable sexist and misogynistic act by a colleague who calls herself a sorora,” was the Kirchnerista’s defense in X (exTwitter).
“You called ‘Zionist’ as an insult to the deputy Sabrina Ajmechet and you insulted me too, that we fight and ask for the release of the Argentines kidnapped by Hamas that rapes and kills women like you and me. And leave it here, it is not convenient for you to continue,” Banfi responded. Ajmechet also responded, who launched: “You perceive yourself as vehement and passionate, but what you are is anti-Semitic.”

Carolina Gaillard responded to Karina Banfi’s tweet in which she questioned the use of the word “Zionist” as an insult: “I defend freedom of expression seriously, I don’t go to the commission, I speak and I leave, first of all. And secondly, the representative Sabrina Ajmechet insulted our colleague Lorena Pokoik by calling her an anti-Semitic. That’s an insult. Tell everything completely.
