«A weekly tabloid dedicated to the fashion, luxury and beauty industries. Il Sole 24 Ore launches today with the debut of Moda24 is an important commitment »: this is how on February 17, 2012 the then manager Paola Bottelli presented the first issue of Moda24, which was published as an attachment with Il Sole 24 Ore. Today our weekly celebrates its first 10 years, continuing to tell the story of the fashion, luxury and beauty industry and following its growth and changes.
Ten years ago, the expanded fashion system had a turnover of 63 billion euros, a value that in the pre-pandemic 2019 rose to over 90 billion and has become one of the cornerstones of the “beautiful and well made” made in Italy economy. In the first issue of Moda24 there was an interview with Renzo Rosso, a focus on Peter Marino’s shops and the leather industry, an investigation into the return of plissé and Giorgio Armani’s power dressing, the new factory of L ‘Oréal in Turin and the lipstick market.
Ten years later we are animated by the same passion for excellence and creativity, the curiosity towards innovations, whether related to new sustainable materials or to the blockchain, and with the same passion and curiosity we look to the next (at least) ten years of Moda24.
