More than 5,000 cyclists participated this Sunday in the Río Pinto 2024 Challenge, the most popular mountain biking race in Latin America, which held its 28th edition in La Cumbre and established Matías Baudino from Córdoba and Yésica Cantelmi from Pampa as overall winners.

The traditional MTB event also had two-time Olympian Catriel Soto as champion of the professional category.

Baudino from Córdoba set the best time in the 85 kilometers. He left the time at 2h45m17s400 and in the general classification he was followed by Juan Manuel Nardolillo from Tucumán (2h46m30s640) and Gonzalo Trotta from La Plata (2h47m21s370); all of category B1.

Cantelmi from Pampa won the professional category for the third time and also led the general classification.

He did it with a time of 3h12m54s and thus won his third crown in the last four editions of the Río Pinto Challenge. Completing the podium were Carolina Maldonado from Córdoba and Inés Gutiérrez from San Juan.

Soto from Entre Ríos completed the route with a time of 2h51m23s350 and, in an impressive final sprint, he surpassed Julián Barrientos from Pampa and Agustín Durán from La Rioja by hundredths of a second in the professional category.
