The “Beauty of Taiwan” 2024 European Tour Exhibition kicked off in Hamburg, Germany on April 27, 2024, at the Taiwan Office of the Republic of China. The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures including GTCC President Cai Mengru, ETCC Honorary President Liu Shuhui, and Overseas Chinese Affairs Secretary Fu Jinling.
Chen Qishun, Director of the Hamburg Office, expressed his gratitude to Taiwanese expatriates for promoting public diplomacy and enhancing Taiwan’s visibility in Germany. He emphasized the close ties between Taiwan and Europe in pursuing universal values and international economic cooperation.
Cai Mengru, President of the German Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, thanked chamber members for their participation and highlighted the vitality of the European Chamber of Commerce on its 30th anniversary. Zhang Yuyang, Honorary President of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Europe, engaged guests by sharing traditional Chinese ink painting techniques.
Lin Wanrui, President of the European Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, discussed innovative initiatives to celebrate the chamber’s anniversary, including collaborations with the National Development Council of Taiwan to facilitate employment opportunities for Taiwanese graduates in Europe.
Su Huanhao, director of the “Formosa Art and Technology Museum,” curated works from Taiwanese artists for the touring exhibition in European countries. He emphasized the dynamic and three-dimensional aspects of paintings, aiming to foster practical international exchanges through cultural activities.
The event showcased the talent and creativity of Taiwanese painters, attracting attendees to appreciate the beauty of Taiwan’s art and culture. The exhibition will continue to tour European countries, spreading the richness of Taiwanese artistic expression.
