The Beijing International Pop Music Week kicks off today

Beijing, April 11 – The Beijing International Pop Music Week, the only indoor pop music event held annually in Beijing, is set to kick off today. This year marks the tenth edition of the event, which will feature a lineup of more than ten pop music performances, industry forums, exhibitions, salons, and other supporting activities.

The festivities will begin with singer-songwriter Wang Wanzhi’s “First Return Limited Edition” concert at MAO Livehouse on April 11th and 12th. Originally, Wang Yunzhi had only planned one concert in Beijing, but due to overwhelming demand, an additional performance was added. The concert is already sold out, with fans from outside the Cantonese area showing their support for Wang Yunzhi’s music.

Wang Yunzhi expressed surprise at the popularity of her songs, stating that she did not expect such a strong reception. Her concert will mark the official start of the Beijing International Pop Music Week, which will culminate with a New Year’s Eve concert.

In addition to Wang Yunzhi’s concert, other performances and events are scheduled throughout the week. The musical “South Wall Project” and “What is the Qin? Song·Shuiyungui” Zide Qin Society Dynasties Concert Series will take place at the Tianqiao Art Center this month, with more announcements to come.

Music lovers in Beijing can look forward to a week filled with top-notch performances and activities celebrating pop music from around the world. Don’t miss out on the Beijing International Pop Music Week!
