China News Service, May 6 (Xinhua) Comprehensive report, on the 5th local time, Buckingham Palace said that Queen Elizabeth II will not attend the Royal Garden Party this summer and is scheduled to be represented by other members of the royal family.

Every summer, parties are held at Buckingham Palace Gardens in central London and at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, by invitation only. Since Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne in 1952, more than 1.45 million people have attended her annual garden party.

According to Agence France-Presse, due to poor health and advanced age, Queen Elizabeth II has reduced her public appearances recently. The Queen recently returned to Windsor Castle after a week off at Sandringham estate in the east of England.

Earlier, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 96th birthday in a low-key manner on April 21. In accordance with British royal tradition, in addition to the Queen’s own birthday, official birthday celebrations are usually held in the warmer months of June.

This year’s official birthday celebration will take place from June 2 to 5, in conjunction with the celebration of the Queen’s 70th anniversary on the throne.
