Research on materials in the name of sustainability, neutral tones are the main characteristics of the 2024-2025 collections of the second line of Byblos, by byblos: by byblos bags are made under license by the Carlino Group, and by byblos shoes by Miriade. Both collections were presented in Naples in the setting of Palazzo Petrucci.
After a test phase, the sale of accessories and shoes of which Miriade and Carlino group are licensees begins at full speed. Miriade has as shareholders the Carlino and Cimmino families, founders and shareholders also of Carpisa and Yamamay, with a third shareholder, the Galiano brothers, and produces and distributes accessories both from proprietary brands (Miriade, Biasia, V°73) and under license (Valentino by Mario Valentino). In 2019 it acquired Jaked, a technical clothing and sportswear brand. Carlino group, on the other hand, belongs only to the Carlino family: «We wanted to respect and enhance all the identity characteristics of the brand», explains CEO Gennaro Carlino. «The market response is better than our forecasts», adds Giulia Palmieri, commercial director.
Thus Byblos returns to the market, one of the iconic ready-to-wear brands of the Seventies and Eighties, therefore at the dawn of Made in Italy, which had Gianni Versace as its creative guide at the beginning of his career. Since 2018, with the creative guidance of Manuel Facchini, who also becomes sole director of the brand, the brand has retained its usual ironic character, while adapting to market changes.
Returning to the byblos line, the bags for Autumn-Winter 2024-25 are available in neutral tones of brown and gray with the addition of more lively nuances such as ruby and burgundy, then green, from forest to military, black and blue, both in the avio and navy shades. Part of the collection has an inspiration linked to art, with sculptural and solid shapes in shiny and brushed materials, among which the trunk stands out. For the evening by byblos offers clutch bags and mini-bags studded with gems. On the shoe front, the collection includes models for all occasions, from the most formal to the casual ones.
