The four winners of the 2024 grants from the Camera Moda Fashion Trust, the project of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion to support emerging brands, were announced last night. The winners of this edition – selected by an international jury – were four Italians: Andreādamo, Francesco Murano, Lorenzo Seghezzi and Niccolò Pasqualetti. The four talents will have access to a sum of 50 thousand euros available to develop their brands and starting from June 2024 they will have the opportunity of a series of strategic consultancy provided by experts in the world of Italian fashion.

«The future cannot ignore the new generation of creatives, which is why Cnmi works alongside Camera Moda Fashion Trust to support them in the creation of collections that look to the future and sustainability, and to help independent designers in the development phases of their own brand » commented Carlo Capasa, president of CNMI.

Added to these four prizes is the one that Max&Co (patron of this edition together with Luisaviaroma) awarded to Victor Hart: the designer will collaborate with the brand’s stylistic team as part of the project “The MAX&Co. Design for Change”.

Who are the winners?

Andrea Adamo, from Crotone, born in 1984, has cultivated a passion for fashion since he was a child thanks to his grandmother, a seamstress. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and training in one of the Emilian women’s fashion companies: he worked alongside the designer Elisabetta Franchi for five years. Thanks to his passion for evening dresses, he then worked at Zuhair Murad in Paris and, later, for Dolce & Gabbana in Milan. In 2020 he decided to open his own brand Andreādamo which he presented at Milan fashion week on several occasions, until September 2023. However, it will be absent from the calendar in February 2024 like other young brands. «I thank Camera Moda and the Fashion Trust for having rewarded my efforts and the tenacity with which I have reached this point with my brand. For an emerging designer the challenges are great, they have been since the day the project was launched in 2020 and they still are today in many different ways. With the support of the institutions and accompanied by the experience of professionals who have contributed to the success of flagship brands of Made in Italy, I am sure that I will be able to lay solid foundations for the future growth of the brand” commented Andrea Adamo.

For Francesco Murano too, fashion is a passion and a family profession: his grandmother Maria Rosaria was an embroiderer; his aunt, however, was a seamstress. Raised in Buccino, in the province of Salerno, he then moved to Milan where he launched his own brand in 2019. A brand that enhances contrasts and oxymorons – with continuous games between full and empty, but also drapes – and draws on the cultural heritage of ancient Greece (a country in which Murano also lived for a period). A lover of neutral tones, he prefers black and on the occasion of the final evening of the Camera Moda Fashion Trust Grant 2024 he dressed Chiara Ferragni in a total black look.
