ISTANBUL (AP) — A cargo plane made an emergency landing at Istanbul airport on Wednesday after a problem with its front landing gear.
A video spread on social networks showed how the FedEx Express Boeing 767 used the rear landing gear and then plunged the nose into the front part of the fuselage.
The plane was making the last leg of its journey between Paris and Istanbul when the pilots realized that the front landing gear did not open, according to the state-run Anadolu news agency.
The incident left no one injured and the crew evacuated the aircraft without problems, said Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
The runway where the landing occurred was closed while the plane was removed, he added.
