ROME – Single or two-seater makes no difference, the important thing is that they are all Monza. For the first time, Ferrari has organized an exclusive event dedicated to owners of the SP1 and SP2 boats, built in 2018 in a limited series of 499 units and, of course, all sold before they were even produced. So here is the first edition of the “Cavalcade Icon”, the reunion reserved exclusively for these cars inspired by masterpieces evocative of the history of the prancing horse. For the occasion, eighty Ferrari Monza specimens from over twenty countries will be found, representing a decidedly large number of these very special one or two-seater models. The special Monza SP1 and SP2 are the founders of the “Icona” range, a line that intends to pay homage to the purest Ferrari tradition with a timeless design, reinterpreted with current technologies and the most innovative materials. The six days of the unforgettable event, scheduled from 11 to 16 June, will see the departure from Milan with a grand finale in Fiorano, a symbol of the racing spirit of the Maranello house.
The Cavalcade Icona will accompany gentleman drivers and collectors from all over the world to the heart of Ferrari history, to the circuit where the “Drake” lived his sporting adventure and which today inflames the hearts of millions and millions of fans with passion. Furthermore, the participating crews will have the opportunity to discover other places dear to the tradition of the “reds” such as the Monza circuit, cities of art such as Bergamo and Cremona, or the spectacular landscapes of Lake Maggiore and its Borromean Islands. There is also room for admiration (and a pinch of envy …) on the part of the public as the places crossed by the Icon Cavalcade will offer moments to contemplate the works of art in this traveling exhibition. There will therefore be the exhibition of cars in the historic squares of Bergamo, Cremona and Stresa, and then again, the parades on the shores of Lake Maggiore and the lakes of Varese, the visit to the Colorno Palace and the in front of the Academy military of Modena.
