From 14th to 28th at La Scala six performances of “Médée”, by Cherubini; with Marina Rebeka in the title role, alongside Stanislas de Barbeyrac’s Jason. The director is Michele Gamba, directed by Damiano Michieletto. We remember Marina Rebeka at La Scala as the splendid Violetta in La Traviata with Zubin Mehta, Thaïs with Lorenzo Viotti, Elena in Sicilian Vespers with Fabio Luisi and Mimì in La Bohème. It is the first time that La Scala presents the opera in its original French version; in the past we remember the shows with the version translated into Italian, with Maria Callas in 1953 and 1961. The show will be broadcast live by Rai Radio 3 on the 14th at 8.00 pm and deferred by Rai Cultura on Rai5. One hour before the The beginning of each performance, at the Ridotto dei Palchi “A. Toscanini”, an introductory conference on the work will be held, held by Raffaele Mellace.
