The captain of Chacarita Juniors, Luciano Perdomo, suffered a traffic accident this Monday when he was on his way to team training and is hospitalized in serious condition. He reported that the “footballer has multiple facial bone fractures and is admitted to intensive care with sedation.”
“The diagnosis is severe head trauma with a reserved prognosis,” Chaca completed the report.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. when the 27-year-old soccer player was traveling towards the Unión Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) property, in the Moreno game. For reasons not yet clarified, the truck in which Perdomo was traveling became wedged under a truck and then caught fire.
The traffic authorities and medical personnel, according to sources who intervened in the accident, managed to rescue the soccer player and refer him to a hospital in San Miguel del Monte. Perdomo, who at the beginning of the year renewed his relationship with Chacarita until the end of 2025, was preparing for the start of the official Primera Nacional season, the first weekend of February.
