The proliferation of dengue cases among students and teachers is causing growing concern in many schools in the city of Córdoba and in the interior of the province. Most establishments are asking families to send their children with mosquito repellent already applied, while some are directly suspending classes due to the number of infected boys and girls.
The teachers of the morning shift at the “Paulino Francés” primary school, in the La Bonita neighborhood, in the southeast of the city of Córdoba, decided this Thursday not to teach classes for several hours due to the lack of responses after an outbreak of dengue fever among the students. . “We have two hospitalized students and constant cases of children who attend school and who after a few hours present symptoms and must return home,” said Victoria, one of the teachers at the establishment.

The Mater Ascripto Special Middle Level Institute developed its own protocol which highlights the disinfection with bleach of all drains, both rainwater and bathrooms. In addition, insecticide is applied before entry, during recess and subsequent exit to all classrooms.
All provincial school directors were notified that if any symptoms appear, the student in question should not attend school. And if anyone presents symptoms during the school day, they must be removed from the establishment.
