Converse Teams Up with Dutch Street Brand Patta for New “Rain or Shine” Collection
Iconic sneaker brand Converse has announced a collaboration with Dutch streetwear label Patta for a new joint series titled “Rain or Shine.” The collection brings together classic design elements with all-weather functional fabrics, adding a pragmatic style to the Converse Weapon Ox and Converse Chuck 70 Marquis shoes, as well as introducing gradient dyeing and printing Tee.
The Converse Weapon Ox features Cordura waterproof fabric, black anti-mud strips, D-shaped ring shoelace perforations, and rubber star arrow patterns. The Chuck 70 Marquis boasts a three-piece spliced sports mesh lining with CX foam cushioning technology, Cordura waterproof fabric, and camouflage printing. Both shoes feature custom details like fabric labels, insoles with customized patterns, and reflective elements.
In addition to the footwear, the joint series also includes a gradient dyed printed Tee with a large area of 3M reflective ink pattern on the back. The collection exudes a sense of versatility and urban style that can withstand any weather condition.
To showcase the spirit of “rain or shine,” Converse and Patta enlisted emerging musician Sam Akpro for an image shoot captured by renowned photographer Caleb Femi. The collaboration aims to embody a sense of resilience and style no matter the weather.
The new Converse x Patta joint series is set to release on April 4th at designated Converse stores. Sneakerheads and street fashion enthusiasts are encouraged to stay tuned for the release of this highly anticipated collection.
