Since the early hours of this Thursday Casimiro Gómez Street is closed, one of the accesses to the North Highway. This is a protest by families from the sector known as “El Cañadón de Casimiro Gómez”, who are demanding the water supply. In addition, the educational community of school No. 67 organized a demonstration blocking Primeros Pobladores street, near Río Diamante, to demand the return of classes.

Vanesa is one of Casimiro Gómez’s neighbors, who indicated that sand they posted on the street at 4 from today. On Tuesday they had already protested for the same reason: water.

The neighbor indicated that the settlement, which is about four years old, is connected illegally and the supply has no pressure. For this reason, they demand formal connection and that the service be guaranteed.

Tuesday’s protest lasted from the afternoon of that day until the morning of the next day and at that time it was announced that it would resume this morning. The street that is cut is one of the accesses to the North Highway in the Industrial Parkheavily traveled, especially by vehicles linked to the oil industry.

The buses in that area were being diverted and at the moment there were no outages on the North Highway.

In addition to this protest, the educational community of the School No. 67 announced that it would block Primeros Pobladores Street, another busy road in the city due to its connection with the former Route 22, current Mosconi Avenue. The demonstration will be at Río Diamante (street called Aluminé up to one block before Primeros Pobladores).

From the community they indicated that There have been no classes in the building for almost a month.

Lucas, a father of the institution explained to Diario RÍO NEGRO that The first problem that arose in the building had to do with the sewers that overflowed, “The school was completely filled with sewage liquid and for several days, there were no classes.” However, then another problem arosea common among the complaints from the different schools in Neuquén: the heaters.

According to what the father reported, they were Camuzzi workers to make some arrangements, which meant that students could not return to school. After several days without classes and with the problems “apparently solved”, on Tuesday the families found themselves with another situation: “They told us that the school cannot have the authorization because the hot water tank is missing.”

Today’s measure consists of concentrating in front of the institution and from there, move towards Primeros Pobladores street to make a cut. “We know that it is an important artery of the city and we want it to be known what is happening,” said the father and concluded: “This situation has already overwhelmed us all and is affecting the education of our boys and girls.”
