In time for the launch of “Dragon Family”, Duolingo has expanded its Advanced Valyrian course with 150 new words that are helping HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and “Game of Thrones” It was developed in collaboration with fantasy linguist David J. Peterson, the design language of Dragon Family. Duolingo’s expanded Higher Valyrian curriculum also includes more than 700 new sentences directly related to “Dragon Family,” and the company will begin rolling out a series of ads across the U.S. introducing the language to test people’s skills.

In Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen was one of the last living people to be fluent in High Valyrian, a language that, in the days of House of Dragons, was It’s Alive, a prequel drama set 200 years before the fall of House Targaryen. While High Valyrian featured some pivotal moments in Game of Thrones, Peterson said the language will play a bigger role in the first season of Dragon Family, and if the show is eventually renewed , he hopes to expand further.

The Dragon Family won’t premiere until August 21, 2022, but Duolingo’s extended classes are available now.
