The program is ready! 57 days before the start of the European Football Championship in Germany (June 14th to July 14th), the European Championship organizers presented the party program for the venue in Leipzig.
In addition to the live broadcast of all 51 European Championship games, a total of 21 artists and bands will perform between the opera and the Gewandhaus in the fan zone on Augustusplatz.

“We want to make the fan zone as attractive as possible,” emphasizes Leipzig’s EM boss Stefan Schedler.
And Simone Dake from the Leipzig booking commission adds: “We can expect a great music program alongside the Kracher games in Leipzig. We are convinced that we have achieved a colorful mix.”
In addition to the British indie rockers “Maximo Park” (“Books From Boxes”/July 2nd), the Erfurt singer Clueso (“Cello”/July 5th) and the electro-pop group “MiA” (“Hungry Heart”/ July 6th) among the highlights.

In addition, the Leipzig “Die PRINZEN” (“Everything is just stolen”/July 9th) has a home game. On the final day, the performance of Schlager star Dieter Thomas Kuhn (“Tell me Quando, tell me when”/July 14th) and his band will conclude the event.
The complete program is available here. Admission to the fan festival is free. The organizers are expecting a packed fan zone, especially on the four European Championship match days in Leipzig and during the German games and the final.

In order to accommodate the extreme rush of fans from the Netherlands, France and Croatia, Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz will also become a fan zone.

“For the games in Leipzig there is a specially created area as an overflow area where another 14,000 people can fit,” Schedler recently told BILD.
And further: “We chose this place because we expect so many followers. There will also be food and drink stands, toilets and a separate 80 square meter video screen.”
