English Model Cara Delevingne “Heartbroken” After Fire Consumes California Home

English model and actress Cara Delevingne is feeling “heartbroken” after a devastating fire engulfed her home in Studio City, California, on Friday. Delevingne took to her social media to express her disbelief and gratitude towards the firefighters and those who helped during the emergency.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the two-story, 6,650-square-foot home early Friday morning to find the fire already intense. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time of the fire, as Delevingne is in London for a production. The firefighters faced challenges as they tried to contain the flames, including a roof collapse.

It took 94 firefighters over two hours to control and extinguish the fire. One firefighter was taken to a hospital in “fair condition” and one person from the residence suffered from smoke inhalation. Delevingne later confirmed that her two cats, who lived in the house, were safe.

The burned house, which featured in a 2021 Architectural Digest profile, included unique elements added by Delevingne and her designer. The house was originally built in 1941 for the Von der Ahe family, founders of the Vons supermarket chain.

Delevingne, known for her modeling and acting career, shared her love for the playful elements in her home, including a ball pit. She has appeared in films such as “Suicide Squad” and “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.”

Despite the devastation, Delevingne remains strong and thankful for the support she has received. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues as the community shows their support for the beloved actress and model.
