Eugenio Derbez Denies Rumors of Separation from Wife Alessandra Rosaldo
Mexico City — Eugenio Derbez, the star of the series Acapulco, recently addressed rumors of his supposed separation from wife Alessandra Rosaldo. The couple, who has been married since 2012, has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks.
During the premiere of the third season of Acapulco, Derbez took the opportunity to set the record straight. “We’re ok. They are already divorcing me, but no, we are still very happily married,” clarified the 62-year-old actor.
Despite living in Los Angeles, Derbez expressed his intention to return to Mexico City to exercise his right to vote in the upcoming elections on June 2nd. He emphasized the importance of participating in the electoral process and expressed his commitment to vote.
In addition to promoting the new season of Acapulco, Derbez shared his pride in working on a series that portrays Mexico in a positive light. “It doesn’t talk about drug trafficking, violence and it’s for the whole family. I am very happy to be in the third season, we made it with the idea of speaking nicely about Mexicans,” he highlighted.
Reflecting on his career in the entertainment industry, Derbez acknowledged the challenges of building a reputation based on quality and integrity. “Building a name has been difficult for me and I am not going to back down,” he added.
