The Minister of Economy and presidential candidate of Union for the Fatherland (UxP), Sergio Massa, will give an announcement this afternoon together with the head of Anses, Fernanda Raverta, regarding retirement and pensions, it was officially reported.
In an interview with Radio 10, Massa had anticipated that today there would be “very good news” for retirees and pensioners.
“We are working to give very good news to retirees tomorrow,” the head of the Palacio de Hacienda had stated.
Last May, Massa and the executive director of the National Social Security Administration (Anses), Fernanda Raverta, had announced the 20.92% increase corresponding to the Mobility Law and a reinforcement for retirement and minimum pensions of $ 15,000 in June, $17,000 in July, and $20,000 in August.
Likewise, in June the half Christmas bonus was paid, for which a retiree from the minimum received $121,407.
A person with income of up to two minimum retirements, as of June began to receive $ 146,876 plus the Christmas bonus, since they received a proportional reinforcement for those who receive the minimum.
In this way, the minimum retirement had a 130% annual increase (June 2022 – June 2023), which represented an increase of 7% in real terms.
“What we have to do is continue solving problems, trying to solve the difficulties that Argentina has, continue imposing the government’s agenda,” the minister and presidential candidate said yesterday.
