Italian Designer Magliano Unveils 2024 Autumn and Winter Series
Italian designer Luca Magliano recently presented the latest 2024 autumn and winter series for his eponymous brand Magliano at the 105th Pitti Uomo fashion show in Florence. The event, hosted by the Italian company Pitti Immagine, showcased the new collection in a unique and captivating manner.
The models made their way down from the top of the stairs, amidst thick fog, creating an unreal and enchanting atmosphere that set the stage for the new designs.
Magliano’s collection for this season reimagines traditional menswear, incorporating elements of femininity and drawing inspiration from powerful women such as the late feminist gay poet Patrizia Cavalli, Italian actress Anna Magnani, and German artist Hanne Darboven. This approach allows the brand to appeal to a broader audience while paying homage to influential figures.
The new series also features several co-branded items, including a Neapolitan black and white suit handmade by Kiton and a hat crafted by designer Borsalino. Magliano emphasized the importance of initiating cultural conversations with individuals who have differing viewpoints, stating, “It’s about starting a cultural conversation with people who don’t have the same perspective as you. You have to find common ground.”
