Suixi County Hosts Folk Arts Event to Promote Rural Revitalization
As night fell, the gymnasium in Suixi County, Huaibei City, Anhui Province was filled with eager spectators as the “Folk Arts Promote Rural Revitalization” plan and the “Send Laughter” event kicked off. Famous and emerging folk performers such as Jiang Kun, Dai Zhicheng, and Meng Ying showcased their talents with songs, dances, cross talk, sketches, and other traditional art forms.
The event, sponsored by the Chinese Folk Artists Association and the Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles, aims to promote rural revitalization through the preservation and celebration of folk arts. Activities included guidance on work improvement, training lectures, performance shows, and style creation collection.
Experts like Meng Ying provided guidance and feedback on local folk art works, helping actors improve their singing and performance techniques. The event also included visits to historical sites like Linhuan Wenchang Palace and Suixi Ancient City to immerse the performers in the rich cultural heritage of Suixi County.
The participating folk artists expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Suixi and its culture. They pledged to incorporate the local traditions and customs into their future creations, contributing to the revitalization of rural culture.
