NOVI LIGURE. The municipal council accepted the proposal, received by many citizens, to exhibit the bicycle of Francesco Paolo Magrini, known by all as “Franchino”, in the spaces of the Museum of the Campionissimi. The vehicle will be located on the ground floor of the Museum, next to the famous “bicycle of ancient crafts” of Giule (the historic ice cream maker), in a space specially dedicated to the city, called the “corner of novesi”.

The decision to exhibit Franchino’s bicycle is motivated by the desire to remember a person loved by all Novesi people. Furthermore, through the figure of Franchino, who arrived from Melfi forty years ago to work in the catering sector, the municipal administration intends to express gratitude to the many families who, who arrived in Novi starting from the second post-war period from other Italian regions, in particular southern Italy. , have made a fundamental contribution to the reconstruction of the city and to the growth of the Novese community.

“The Campionissimi Museum is an indispensable place to develop and disseminate culture, not just sports, to safeguard the history, values ​​and memory of the city”, comment the mayor Gian Paolo Cabella and the councilor for Culture Andrea Sisti. , expressing appreciation for the proposal.
