This is demonstrated by participation in the three days of the 23rd Congress of Aesthetic Medicine organized by the scientific society in Milan. «Aesthetic medicine is more and more avant-garde, but close to the patients it treats, prevents and improves the physical aspect without distorting – says Alberto Massirone, president of Agorà -. Requests increasingly tend towards a model of natural beauty, fresh and harmonious in full respect of shapes and volumes, created through safe and reliable aesthetic medicine with increasingly trained and updated professionals. The most requested treatments
The data of the Agorà Observatory speak for themselves: new requests and new user targets are approaching aesthetic medicine. The evergreens of treatments are: fillers, botulinum toxin and skin revitalization, while the Millennials require more peeling, epilation and body contouring treatments. It is interesting to note that in the age group between 18-30 people approach aesthetic medicine by emulation, also aimed at combating a problem of insecurity; in the range between 30-40 years, the aim is to prevent skin aging, from 40-60 years anti-aging treatments are required to find a better shape while the over 60s want to reduce wrinkles and combat skin laxity.
«Among the first positions we find fillers in the labial area (45%), zygomatic area (26%) and in the lower third and mandibular border (21%), with a distinction by sex and age group. In women, 47% in the 30-40 age group requires it, while in 42% of men the gap becomes wider, from 40 to 60 years – says Nadia Tamburlin, vice president of Agorà -. In 2021 the scepter is still up to botox treatments, slightly higher than fillers, which focus on increasingly specific areas: expression lines in the glabellar or pericoular area and in the area of the lower third of the face. The panorama of patients also changes slightly: women (54%) request it more, followed by 53% of men, in the same age group. In third position we find an evergreen, skin revitalization which stands for the second consecutive year with requests that exceed 90% for the face, 70% for the neck and décolleté in the age range between 40-60 years for women , 30-40 years for men. Peeling treatments focus mainly on skin spots and skin aging. It is interesting to note that the female demand comes from an age group between 30-40 years, while for men the age range expands from 18 to 40 years, confirming how much the man, at any age, cares more and more her image of beauty ».
Not only face, but also bodyFacial treatments make up the lion’s share, but this year at the Congress several novelties for the body were presented. After all, the data from the Observatory confirm that the demand for body contouring treatments is increasing, among the top treatments: mesotherapy (55%), high and low flow carboxytherapy (45%), laser and cavitation (35%) , cryolipolysis and electrostimulation (25%) for both a male and a female target that is over 54% in the 30-40 age range. Among the novelties are fillers to counteract skin laxity in the arms and abdomen, two critical areas that worsen with age. The Italian company Ibsa Derma presented Profhilo Body which allows you to restore lost tone with two injectable treatments within a month and a support kit.
