It may have been twenty-seven years since the first book ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ was published, but for many fans of the wizarding world it feels like it was yesterday. Incomprehensible according to actress Miriam Margolyes (82), who played Professor Pomona Stronk in the accompanying films.

For actress Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Pomona Stronk in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, the hype about Harry Potter is over. “I’m worried about the fans of Harry Potter,” Margolyes told New Zealand’s 1News. “The hype should really be over by now.”

She cannot understand that anyone who was a fan of Harry Potter and his wizarding world as a child would still be a fan of Harry Potter and his wizarding world as an adult. “They get stuck in it. When I hear that some people organize their wedding with the theme ‘Harry Potter’, I often think: that will be a fun evening. No, I don’t even want to think about it.”

Margolyes emphasizes that she was very happy with the role of Professor Pomona Stronk, who taught Herbology in the films, but that it is now over. In total, the actress appeared in two films: ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows– Part 2’.
