High Definition Drama Screening to Be Featured in Professional Theaters

Beijing Aojiwei Culture is set to empower the Spring Festival holiday this year with their new live brand, “High Definition Drama Screening.” The event will take place at various professional theaters across Beijing, including the Beijing Comedy Theatre, Beijing Intermediate Theater, and the newly opened Little Shakespeare Theater Art Space. In addition, the screenings will also be available for on-demand viewing on online platforms such as Tencent Art Channel.

The lineup for the Spring Festival film list includes a plethora of hit word-of-mouth dramas from around the world. From the British National Theater’s revival of Arthur Miller’s classic “The Witches of Tom” to Dostoyevsky’s masterpiece “Karamazov,” directed by French director Jean Bellolini, attendees can expect a diverse range of high-quality productions.

Classic productions will also be making a return, including Benedict Cumberbatch’s “Hamlet” and the Tower Bridge Theatre’s modern gender perspective reconstruction of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The screenings will take place in various districts across Beijing, including Haidian, Dongcheng, and Chaoyang. The Little Shakespeare drama art space complex, which opened in the Dongba business district at the end of last year, will host high-definition screenings of “Little Shakespeare’s foreign classic plays.” The “New Year Screening Season” will run throughout the month of February, offering over 80 exciting screenings of 16 high-definition and high-quality plays.

Starting from February 17, the Beijing Comedy Theater will host the “X-Theatre Drama Video Screening Week,” allowing high-definition drama screenings to be featured in large professional theaters. Damai New Space, another venue involved in the event, will continue to schedule new live high-definition screenings during the Spring Festival.
