Most of them replied to the questionnaire promoted at national level by Confindustria – which has already selected seven thousand Italian companies of all sectors and of all sizes, associated and non-associated, ready to go – while others wrote directly to the extraordinary commissioner. The goal is the same: to prepare to vaccinate “at home” to accelerate the mass campaign. It would be a way to to help the country and also to protect the health and safety of its employees, given that many, even in time for Covid, are called to travel to present collections, develop distribution and participate in fairs.

Ready-made suitable premises

Moreover, many companies in the sector are already equipped with clinics and company premises. Among those who are only waiting for the government green light to start with vaccinations is the Prada Group. “We have given the utmost willingness to take an active role to protect the health of workers”, CEO Patrizio Bertelli explains to Sole 24 Ore, underlining that he has made available all offices on the Italian territory (only the production plants are 20). «Our spaces have already been set up for months to perform rapid swabs with the presence of medical and nursing staff – adds Bertelli – also to guarantee any emergency interventions. Prada ready to extend the project to Milan

Based on the collaborators of Prada who, since the beginning of the pandemic, have carried out serological tests and swabs in the company, Bertelli estimates “a potential reference basin of over 3,000 people in Tuscany alone and at least 1,000 in Milan: significant numbers that could be our contribution to lighten the burden of the health system in the coming months “.

The large French groups Kering and Lvmh

Gucci and all the brands of the French group are also ready to go with the vaccinations in the company Dry to which it belongs: from Yves Saint Laurent to Balenciaga, from Richard Ginori to the offices of Kering Italy. Only Gucci in Tuscany has 3,500 workers, who are close to 5,000 with all the other brands in the group. Also the other French luxury group strongly present in Italy and Tuscany, Lvmh, has given the willingness to vaccinate the workers of some brands: Loro Piana (in the production sites of Impruneta-Florence, Mede-Pavia, Quarona, Ghemme and Roccapietra in Piedmont, in addition to the training office in Milan); Fendi (in all the offices in Rome, Florence and Milan); Louis Vuitton (in the footwear factory in Fiesso d’Artico-Venice); Thelios (in the Longarone-Belluno factory).
