The Exatlón USA All-Stars competition is nearing its climax with the Grand Final just around the corner. The battle to reach the final has intensified after last Sunday’s elimination duel, leading to a change to individual competition. Two elimination duels were scheduled for Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, in order to narrow the field down to just four competitors for the Grand Final.
The most recent elimination duel saw Anisa Guajardo and Horacio Gutiérrez Jr. leaving the competition. Later, on Thursday, two other competitors won immunity after a series of challenging tests. Former soccer player Jonny Magallón was defeated by Kelvin Rentería, who secured immunity, while Caterine Ibargüen’s display of skill and marksmanship earned her immunity as well.
The tension continued on Friday, January 19, as two more athletes, Jonny Magallón and Wilmarie Negron, were eliminated, thus missing out on their chance to reach the Grand Final. With these eliminations, the list of eliminated contestants has grown, leaving just a few competitors remaining.
Finally, the Grand Final is set to take place on Monday, January 22, and will air on Telemundo channels at 7:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm CT. The winner will not only be crowned the best athlete but will also receive a prize of $500,000.
