Jean-Marie Pfaff and Carmen sell villa in Brasschaat: “In search of peace” (Brasschaat)

Jean-Marie Pfaff (70) and his wife Carmen (67) are putting their home in Brasschaat up for sale. Where the couple will go next has not yet been determined. “They are mainly looking for peace.”

Not that they would end up on the street if their home were to be sold in an instant: in the meantime, they can always stay in the family’s apartment on the coast. “They have been staying there regularly recently anyway,” says daughter Kelly. “You notice in everything that it offers them peace. Unlike their villa, which is gradually becoming too big for two people. And that mental peace is what they are looking for more than ever.”

In addition, Carmen has had an eventful year. She had to recover from a brain haemorrhage she suffered in early May, and at the end of August she was attacked.

The house – on a plot of 3,970 m², in a dead-end street – comes on the market through real estate agency Accént, of which Dave Volders, the husband of Lyndsey Pfaff, is manager. The building includes a double garage and a separate office space, and the garden has a swimming pool and a sauna. Asking price: 965,000 euros.
