Johnny Depp – Amber Heard at the start of the trial. The actress: “I hope to turn the page soon”

The never-ending legal battle between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard will soon have a new chapter. In the coming weeks, as the same actress as Aquaman tells from his social profile, the two will meet in Virginia for the trial that this time sees Johnny Depp as the accuser. “We hope that when this case ends, I can turn the page and Johnny too – writes the actress in a post on Instagram – I have always kept love for Johnny and it causes me great pain having to live the details of our common life in front of the world “.

The accusation of defamation
After the lawsuit that the star of Tim Burton’s films and the Pirates of the Caribbean saga lost in London against the tabloid Sun who had defined him as a “wifey”, he is in fact about to start a new trial, initiated by Depp against the Washington Postguilty of hosting an article signed by ex-wife Amber Heard.

The Virginia judge had ruled that the verdict that found Depp wrong in the lawsuit against the Rupert Murdoch tabloid did not prevent the actor from pursuing a second lawsuit against Heard over the Washington Post article. “I have become a public figure, a symbol of domestic violence, and I feel on my shoulders the force of the anger of our culture against women who dare to have their say”, wrote Amber in the op-ed, released in December 2018 on newspaper in the capital where Heard had never mentioned Depp by name. What she also remembers in this latest message to fans: «For a few weeks I will not be online – wrote the actress – As you may know, I will be in Virginia where I will face my ex-husband Johnny Depp in court. Johnny sued me for an editorial I wrote in the Washington Post, in which I recounted my experience of domestic violence and abuse. I never mentioned it, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking out against men in power. I continue to pay that price ».
