DR. MARTENS teamed up with Warner Bros. to launch a collaborative collection that pays homage to the iconic masterpieces of the 80s. The three Cult films in this tribute are “Seven Treasures”, “The Underworld Master” and “Ghostbusters”. The two sides remodeled two classic shoe styles inspired by those iconic elements in the film. The bold interpretation of the starring role in “The Underworld Master” has found a breakthrough in the history of movies. The two sides used this fantasy work as the inspiration to reshape the 1461 three-hole shoes, using the snake pattern of Betelgeuse (homonym of “Beetlejuice”). Embellished with enamel lace pendants from Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz. “Ghostbusters” features a mysterious underground scene where dark vampire legends collide with the wayward anxiety of adolescence, with rock music and leather style, so the collaboration 1461 is made of crocodile-embossed leather and decorated with vampires Tooth-shaped lace pendants and metal accents, with “LOST BOYS” printed on the sole and upper, finish with a digitally printed insole.
As for “Seven Treasures”, which tells the story of a group of imaginative, misfit young people, the new 1460 THE GOONIES is made of classic smooth leather embossed with a skull pattern taken from the film. In addition, the insole with a treasure map pattern is printed on the inside of the shoe, with a heel strap printed with “NEVER SAY DIE” and a shoelace charm with a skull pattern.
