They were the big winners of the 75th edition of the Emmy Awards, the American awards for excellence in the television industry. Although the ceremony took place on Monday, the awards correspond to 2023. Ayo Edibiri won the Emmy for her role in The Bear. Jeremy Allen White won the Emmy for best lead actor in a comedy series for playing Carmen Carmy Berzatto in The Bear. One of the Emmys to Succession was for its protagonist, Sarah Snook.
Ally Wong won the Emmy, one of many for Beef.
“I want to thank myself for believing in me,” said Niecy Nash-Betts when accepting the Emmy for her performance in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, and dedicated the award to “all the black and brown women who weren’t heard.”
Ebon Moss-Bachrach won another Emmy for The Bear. “Don’t give up on your dream!” said Jennifer Coolidge when collecting the award for best supporting actress in a drama series for her role in The White Lotus.
Paul Walter Hauser thanked the Emmy for his role in Black Bird in verse.
Lee Sung Jin won two Emmys, best directing and best writing for a miniseries or TV movie for Beef.
“Yes one drag queen tries to tell them a story in a library, listen to her. Listen to the drag queens because knowledge is power,” RuPaul said when collecting the Emmy for his show.
