The ninth episode of Germany’s Next Top Model 2024 promises excitement and glamor! In this episode, the renowned fashion designer Kilian Kerner is a guest in the model penthouse and shares his expertise with the candidates. In addition, the models have to complete a demanding shoot with “Vogue” photographer Yu Tsai.
Kilian Kerner is a guest at GNTM 2024
Kilian Kerner is a fixture in the fashion world and is known for his impressive designs, worn by celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, Fergie and Bill Kaulitz. But he is also a big fan of GNTM and has been part of the last GNTM seasons. In an interview he told us that he often invites friends over, cooks and then watches the shows together.
In the ninth episode of Germany’s Next Top Model 2024, he was welcomed as a guest in the model penthouse to share his specialist knowledge and experience on the catwalk with the candidates. For the aspiring models, his presence was an exciting event. An example of this is Aldin, who dreamed of possibly taking part in Berlin Fashion Week after Kilian Kerner’s catwalk teaching. The assumption was not unjustified, because in the last season the candidates were also allowed to take part in the Kilian Kerner Fashion Week Show AW 24. At least many GNTM candidates from the last shows were there at the show.

Kilian Kerner campaign for the 20th anniversary
Kilian Kerner announced that he would be taking on the biggest job of his entire career: a photo and video shoot for a huge poster campaign to mark the 20th anniversary of his brand. The tension remains high as the candidates work to convince Kilian Kerner of their abilities and perhaps seize the opportunity of a lifetime.

But Kilian Kerner is known for his honesty and is not afraid to express constructive criticism. On the show he made it clear: “When I saw you, I thought I had to tell this poor young man today that he’s not a model at all.” The models had no idea that the catwalk teaching was also a hidden casting.

The shooting challenge in Tokyo
One of the highlights of the 9th episode is the demanding shoot with the motto “A trip through Tokyo in 5 minutes” led by the renowned photographer Yu Tsai. The models have to deliver perfect shots in the “Tiny Tokyo Film Set” and work together as teams of two.
