Kristen Stewart Reveals Thoughts on Marvel Movies, Says Role Would Be a Nightmare

Kristen Stewart, the Hollywood actress known for her role in the “Twilight” series, recently attended the premiere of “Sterben” at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. However, it seems that she may not be making her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) anytime soon.

In a recent interview on the radio show “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” Stewart shared her thoughts on starring in a Marvel movie, stating, “I’ll probably never do a Marvel movie. It sounds like a fucking nightmare, actually.” She expressed her love for big movies but mentioned that the system of Marvel movies would have to change for her to consider a role.

Despite her reservations about Marvel, Stewart did leave a door open for a potential role in the superhero genre. She mentioned that if “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig were to direct a superhero movie, she would be interested in joining the cast. Stewart’s high trust in Gerwig seemed to be the key factor in her willingness to take on a superhero role.

Stewart, along with her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson, gained international fame from the vampire series. Their experience in blockbuster movies has led them to have some concerns about participating in larger productions. However, Stewart has been shifting her focus towards independent films in recent years, such as the 2022 sci-fi horror film “Crimes of the Future” and the 2024 romantic thriller “Love Lies Bleeding.”

It seems that while Stewart may not be a fan of the current Marvel movie system, she is open to the idea of joining the superhero genre under the right circumstances. Only time will tell if we will see her donning a cape and joining the Marvel Universe.
