ROME – On June 15, “Lightyear – The true story of Buzz” is released in Italian cinemas, which tells the origins of the legendary Space Ranger, and which sees Scuderia Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, interpret a cameo, Disney and Pixar. Charles Leclerc, in his first experience of this genre, declared that he had a lot of fun in the new role of voice actor and that he shared with the protagonist of the animated film his passion for speed and determination in achieving the set goals. “Going into space as it happens in the film is certainly one of my dreams – said Leclerc – a goal that maybe one day I will reach”. In the meantime, to find out which character Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have lent their voices to, we will have to wait for the film to be released in theaters. The animated film, directed by Angus MacLane and produced by Galyn Susman, tells the origins of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the Toy Story toy, and follows the legendary Space Ranger after being stranded on a hostile planet at 4 , 2 million light years from earth along with its commander and their crew.
As Buzz tries to find a way home through time and space, he is joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his irresistible companion robot cat, Sox. The adventure becomes more intense and the arrival of Zurg, an imposing presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious end, complicates things and puts the mission at risk. The award-winning composer Michael Giacchino has signed the soundtrack of the film and in the Italian version, in addition to the young Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, Alberto Malanchino, Ludovico Tersigni and Esther Elisha lend their voices who respectively interpret the Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear, Sox, the his companion robot cat, and Alisha Hawthorne, his commander and best friend.
