Lee Bo-young, a well-known Korean actor, is making her highly-anticipated return to the small screen in the suspense drama “HIDE.” The drama, which is set to premiere on Hami Video, follows the story of Na Moon-young, a prosecutor-turned-lawyer who embarks on a journey to find her missing husband.
During a press conference in Seoul, Lee Bo-young’s co-stars Lee Mo-sang and Lee Chung-a shared interesting tidbits about the actor. They revealed that Lee Bo-young is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves exploring gourmet restaurants. In fact, it was a popular pastime for the cast to visit restaurants recommended by Lee Bo-young while filming “HIDE.”
When asked about the pressure of competing with other popular dramas like “Queen of Tears,” Lee Bo-young expressed confidence in her new project. She mentioned that the multi-platform release of “HIDE” has alleviated any pressure she may have felt in the past.
“HIDE” is adapted from the British drama “Keeping Faith” and revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a husband, leading the protagonist to uncover shocking truths. Lee Bo-young plays the role of Na Moon-young, a character who must navigate through unexpected challenges and revelations.
Despite her previous roles being more proactive, Lee Bo-young embraces the passive nature of Na Moon-young in “HIDE.” She finds the character’s complexities and twists in the plot to be refreshing and engaging.
Co-star Lee Mo-sang, who plays the missing husband in the drama, also expressed admiration for Lee Bo-young’s culinary expertise. He joked about her love for food and expressed a desire to share her extensive list of favorite restaurants with fans.
