To involve a larger number of researchers and to have greater compatibility with other scholarships of which the candidates may be winners, from this year the scholarship becomes a prize. Concrete support to carry out your research activity and study project.

Six prizes worth €20,000 each will be awarded, in the fields of Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Technologies. The Award judging commission, composed of a panel of nine Italian university professors and scientific experts, will examine the candidate projects.

«The L’Oréal-UNESCO Award “For Women and Science” reaches its twenty-second edition this year, thus confirming itself as one of the most consolidated group initiatives in Italy – comments Emmanuel Goulin, president and CEO of L’Oréal Italia – . Having been among the first countries to launch a national edition of this program in favor of women researchers is a source of real pride for us. To date, we have awarded 112 deserving Italian scientists and we are honored to be able to contribute with our award to bridging the gender gap unfortunately still present in scientific disciplines. We look forward to receiving nominations from the brilliant minds who will help shape the future of scientific progress again this year.”
