After becoming a favorite couple in ‘Love Island’, Kimmy de Weerd (25) and Kengi Meert (21) now come with bad news: the two have broken up.

“My heart is broken into 1,000 pieces. I really hoped I never had to say this,” Kimmy wrote on social media. “Because Kengi is not feeling well, he cannot give me the love he used to.” The two love each other, the Love Island participant says, “but sometimes love is not enough.”
Kimmy and Kengi found each other in the popular Streamz program Love Island. In it, twelve Flemish and Dutch singles move into a Spanish villa where they hope to find love together. Viewers can vote for their favorite duo and the strongest couple will win a cash prize of 25,000 euros at the end. Romances have arisen every time, but with Kimmy and Kengi’s breakup, no Love Island relationship seems to last long.
