“It is the ‘grand finale’. Madonna deserved this party and we Brazilians deserved this party. It is very significant that she concludes her tour here with a free concert,” said one devoted fan, Ge Correa.

The concert, costing $11.8 million, will see Madonna pocket $3.3 million, with the regional government investing $5 million in hopes of generating $57.5 million in income for Rio.
