Zhang Baozong, Executive Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, Zhao Ming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Director of Propaganda, Qu Xiao, Director of the Changchun Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Jiang Licheng, Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Construction Group, Film Division of the Propaganda Department of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China Director Liu Wei and Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee Liu Ting attended the launching ceremony.

At the launching ceremony, Zhang Baozong delivered a passionate speech on behalf of the Propaganda Department of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China. He pointed out that Jilin is the cradle of the film industry in New China, and the provincial party committee and government attaches great importance to the development of the film industry. The China Changchun Film Festival has been successfully held for 15 times. It is not only the most influential cultural brand in Jilin Province, but also adds a unique cultural atmosphere to the city of Changchun, making film culture deeply integrated into the hearts of the people of Jilin.
Zhang Baozong said that the mass cultural activities with the theme of “Meeting in the cradle of movies and gathering in ice and snow in Changchun” perfectly blended the profound film culture with the energetic ice and snow culture, vividly interpreting the characteristics and charm of the film festival. This event is not only a movie feast, but also a Frozen, but also a festival for the people.
After the launching ceremony, the Northeast Wind Song and Dance Troupe of Jilin Province, as well as a number of mass art groups and cultural volunteer teams, performed a large-scale dance “Kandong Ice and Snow Love”, “Red Movie Songs Skewers”, and a scene dance “Frozen” for the audience. Exciting shows such as folk songs and dances, hot songs and dances ignited the passion of the audience.
As one of the main activities of this year’s film festival, mass cultural activities will launch 208 events in 4 categories, including movie theme concerts, movie songs everyone sings, choral boutique performances, and movie piano music shows. By creating a strong film culture, ice and snow culture atmosphere, the unique charm of “New China Film Cradle” is displayed.
The launching ceremony was hosted by the 16th China Changchun Film Festival Organizing Committee; under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, Changchun Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau; Changchun Evening News, Changchun Mass Art Museum, and Changchun Ice and Snow Xintiandi.
The 16th China Changchun Film Festival will be held in Changchun, Jilin from December 21st to 25th. It will be hosted by China Central Radio and Television and the People’s Government of Jilin Province and undertaken by the People’s Government of Changchun City. The normal theme is “New Era, New Cradle, New “Power”, the featured keywords of this film festival are “Hundred Years, Cradle, Ice and Snow”.
The China Changchun Film Festival was founded in 1992 and is the first national film festival named after a city in New China. Since its inception, the China Changchun Film Festival has been successfully held for 15 times and has experienced a glorious history of 29 years. During the 29-year development history of the China Changchun Film Festival, hundreds of film-themed mass cultural activities will be launched each time, allowing film culture to take root in the hearts of the masses and integrate into the blood of the city’s culture.
