ATLANTA (AP) — Dejounte Murray scored a career-high 44 points, including the go-ahead shot in the final second of overtime, as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Boston Celtics 123-122 on Thursday night.

Jaylen Brown hit what looked like the game-winner with 6 seconds left in overtime to put Boston up 122-121, but Murray responded with the one that gave the Hawks their second victory over the Celtics in four days.

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 24 points and De’Andre Hunter added 21 and 13 rebounds.

Jayson Tatum led Boston with 31 points and 13 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 and Brown added 18.

Atlanta occupies the last play-in spot in the East. He could face the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs if he overcomes that playoff tournament.

Boston’s Dominican forward Al Horford did not play (sprained left big toe).

For the Hawks, forward Onyeka Okongwu missed his fourth consecutive game, while Saddiq Bey was ruled out for the season due to surgery.

All-Star guard Trae Young (finger) and forward Jalen Johnson (right ankle) have missed 17 and eight consecutive games, respectively.
