Flushing City Councilmember Sandra Ung announced the upcoming “Rhythm of Spring” concert, set to take place on May 18 at Kissena Corridor Park in Flushing. The free concert will feature hits from Disney movies performed by The Little Mermen, a touring band.
Councilmember Huang Minyi expressed excitement about the event, praising the opportunity for families to enjoy quality time together in the beautiful environment of the park. The announcement was met with enthusiasm from the community, with past events at Kissena Corridor Park being described as highly successful.
In addition to the “Rhythm of Spring” concert, the New York Cubs Youth Orchestra revealed plans for their 20th annual concert on June 8 at Alice Tully Hall. The orchestra will also host a free warm-up concert at the Taiwan Association Hall on May 18, showcasing a diverse repertoire ranging from classical to pop and Asian music.
Meanwhile, the New York City Department of Transportation introduced the Dining Out NYC Marketplace, an online platform designed to assist catering operators with outdoor dining facilities. The platform connects operators with qualified design, construction, and building material service providers to comply with new regulations set to take effect on August 3.
