Xi’an News Network News The novel “Five Wolf Pass”, written by writer Liu Mingqi in our province over 30 years, was recently published by Writers Publishing House.
“Five Wolf Pass” is a novel that explores the spirit of individual personality and the value of life. The story takes place in the mountainous area of southern Shaanxi. Under the social background of the old age, the sweetness and bitterness, gains and losses, successes and failures, and lack of life in life are so agitated, tragic and shocking. Times are changing and history is constantly flowing. The protagonist and a group of characters interpret their tortuous life trajectory and destiny. The ancient land trembles in turmoil, and the Chinese national spirit is also baptized in the inheritance. Some critics commented like this: “The great opening, the great joy and the sadness of the extraordinary life, the richly colored and turbulent time picture scroll, can be called a shocking work that pays tribute to life.”
It is reported that the author Liu Mingqi worked at Shaanxi Normal University. He used to be the editor-in-chief of “Shaanxi Normal University News”, director of Shaanxi Normal University Film and Television Center, and editor-in-chief of Shaanxi Normal University Press. Writer-in-residence at the Institute of Advanced Studies. He joined the Writers Association when he was a student, and one of his works was selected in the “Shaanxi Thirty-three Novels Exhibition”. Published more than two hundred literary works in national and provincial newspapers and magazines, and authored the novel “Golden Unicorn”, the novella collection “Xia Zhuang, Xia Zhuang”, the collection of short stories “White Flowering Oleander”, and the collection of prose essays “Be Kind” “World“, “Character Sketch” and academic works “Fiction Concepts and Novel Style”, etc. Won the first prize of the first prize of “National Book Review” in 1987 and the publication award of the 12th “China Book Award”.
