In a truly international collaboration, friends from five different nations recently embarked on a cultural journey to appreciate the opera “Marco Polo” in Guangzhou. The opera, which tells the story of the famous Italian explorer’s adventures in China, has sparked reflections on the deepening connections between China and Italy.
According to a report by Jinyang.com, the friends, hailing from countries including China, Italy, and more, were drawn to Guangzhou to witness the unique performance of “Marco Polo.” Speaking exclusively to Southern Network, Italian Entrepreneur Bart expressed how the opera has helped more people understand Italy and fostered closer business cooperation between Italy and China over the past two decades.
Li Jiahao, founder and chairman of the Italian Yalenger Culture and Art Foundation, highlighted the significance of the ancient Silk Road in promoting cultural exchange between China and Italy.
