The highly anticipated personal auction titled “PERSONAL EFFECTS: Hiroshi Fujiwara” curated by Hiroshi Fujiwara and Sotheby’s has officially kicked off today at 11 am. The theme of the auction, which bears the same name as Fujiwara’s 2009 book, aims to showcase his personal items and belongings, giving insight into his lifestyle and interests.

The auction includes a wide range of items, from rare collections such as Hermès guitar bags and goro’s accessories to collaborations like Levi’s Fenom DISCO and everyday clothing. It also features home furnishings, digital products, sports equipment, and even personal favorites like Chuanbei loquat cream. The items shared in the book encompass the diverse tastes and experiences of Hiroshi Fujiwara himself, with personal stories attached to each.

Sotheby’s has a history of successful collaborations with cultural and art leaders, including NIGO and Jay Chou. The “NIGOLDENEYE® Vol. 1” auction in 2019, featuring NIGO’s creations, achieved remarkable results, with KAWS’ painting “THE KAWS ALBUM” selling for HK$111.6 million, setting a new auction record for the artist. Similarly, the “Jay Chou x Sotheby’s” curated by Jay Chou in 2021 broke nine world auction records, reaching a total turnover of HK$845.9 million.

The collection includes rare watches like the Rolex Submariner “Big Crown,” highly sought-after sneakers like the Nike Air Force 1 Low HTM Fragment, artworks like Andy Warhol’s CAMOUFLAGE series, and iconic Supreme Skateboard Decks signed by KAWS. Other notable items include Burton Snowboard Ware, fragment design x Karimoku BE@RBRICK, and a custom-sized Martin Acoustic Guitar.

Hiroshi Fujiwara, who is known for his passion for horology, presents several well-known watches in the auction, including the Rolex Submariner Ref. 5510 from 1958. This watch, equipped with Cal. 1530 movement, is highly coveted by collectors.

The HTM series, named after Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield, and Mark Parker, showcases the avant-garde style and latest technology of Nike. The Nike Air Force 1 Low HTM Fragment, one of the most sought-after HTM styles, is expected to attract considerable attention.

Andy Warhol’s CAMOUFLAGE series, featuring vividly colored prints created by the pop artist in 1987, is anticipated to be one of the highlights of the auction.

Supreme Skateboard Decks featuring the iconic Chum image, collaboratively designed with KAWS, are considered highly collectible and sought after by enthusiasts.
