The national government postponed the defrosting of two taxes that impact gasoline and diesel. It was scheduled to occur this February 1, but the instance moved to March. However, they registered uploads at the YPF service station pumps. Prices in Neuquén and Cipolletti.
As journalist Victoria Terzaghi explained in Energía On, they are two taxes frozen since June 2021: the Liquid Fuel Tax (ICL), which applies to gasoline, and the Carbon Dioxide Tax (IDC) on diesel.
He indicated that the Government seeks transfer the price per liter in installments, starting in February, the month that begins this Thursday, when the freeze ends. However, this morning it was decided to postpone this instance until March.
Decree 107/2024 was published this morning in the Official Gazette. Establishes that the increases that will be applied according to the following schedule:
to. First and second calendar quarters of the year 2023: as of March 1st 2024 inclusive.
b. Third calendar quarter of the year 2023: as of April 1st 2024 inclusive.
c. Fourth calendar quarter of the year 2023: as of 1st of Maythat of 2024, inclusive.
Despite this postponement, the YPF service stations recorded increases, but as part of the price recomposition that is expected, at least, until March.
