Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were unaware of the cancer diagnosis of Kate Middleton, the wife of his brother Prince William. They heard the news like the rest of the world through the official media channels of the British royal family, New York Post sources report.

Only when Princess Kate’s diagnosis dominated all news sites worldwide on Friday evening (our time) were Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle also informed. The US-based Duke and Duchess of Sussex were completely surprised by the news flashes, New York Post sources report. “They knew nothing and heard the news at the same time as the rest of the world,” it said. “This proves the irreparable damage they have caused. Trust is broken and the royal family is also distancing itself from them.”
There was no response from the two to those revelations. In a statement they shared their condolences for Kate and William. “We wish good health and healing to Kate and her family,” they wrote. “And we hope that they can do that peacefully and in peace.”
Anyone who hoped that the cancer diagnosis would bring the British royal family closer together again seems to be returning home from a bare journey. Although it cannot be ruled out that brothers Harry and William, whose father King Charles also has cancer, have had contact with each other in the meantime. Nothing has been officially communicated about this yet.
