China Continues to Lead in Closing Global Governance Deficit

China has continued to uphold its position as a global leader in promoting peace, development, and international cooperation amidst the current challenges facing the world. As the global landscape evolves with increasing geopolitical competition, security threats, and economic uncertainties, China remains committed to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

One of China’s key initiatives in this regard is the Belt and Road Initiative, which aims to promote global development, security, and civilization. This initiative has garnered support from over 70 countries and has led to the implementation of more than 200 cooperation projects. Additionally, China has committed significant resources to the United Nations Peace and Development Fund, supporting over 130 projects in peace, security, and development efforts.

Furthermore, China has been actively engaged in addressing global economic challenges and advocating for inclusive economic globalization. By promoting trade and investment liberalization, as well as supporting macroeconomic policy coordination, China aims to ensure the stability of global industrial and supply chains. The “Belt and Road” initiative has also created a platform for international cooperation, fostering greater economic ties and mutual benefits among participating countries.

In terms of global security governance, China has played a crucial role in peacekeeping efforts and conflict resolution. As the second-largest contributor to peacekeeping missions and the United Nations, China has proposed a global security initiative that emphasizes common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security. This approach has received support from over 100 countries and organizations, demonstrating China’s commitment to maintaining world peace and stability.

Moreover, China advocates for respecting the right of all countries to choose their own development paths and promoting exchanges among civilizations. By establishing initiatives such as the China-Greece Center for Mutual Learning between Civilizations, China aims to facilitate dialogue and mutual understanding among different cultures. Additionally, China has proposed a global civilization initiative to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation worldwide.

As China continues to navigate the complex global landscape, its efforts in promoting global governance, peace, and development have been widely recognized and supported by the international community. By staying true to its principles and working collaboratively with other nations, China remains a steadfast advocate for a more inclusive and cooperative world order.
