With the Scram 411 Royal Enfield enters the crossover segment for the first time. It is a street scrambler with an original and accessible style, as per the tradition of the Indian company. Built on Royal Enfield’s proven LS-410 engine platform and Harris Performance chassis, the Scram 411 was designed to be agile on urban roads and also have off-road capability. Compared to the Himalayan it is more urban and also more attentive to the look. “In an increasingly dynamic world, life in the urban context has become synonymous with hectic weekday routine and weekend escapism. The heart of the Scram 411 is the single cylinder of the same displacement, with single overhead camshaft, 4-stroke injection and air-cooled. The maximum power of 24.3 HP at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 32 Nm at 4,000-4,500 rpm make it fluid and also suitable for beginners. At the front there is a traditional 41mm fork and 190mm of travel, while the rear monoshock with linkage has 180mm of travel. The braking system includes a front and a rear disc, with dual channel ABS. The tires are of the dual-purpose type, suitable for both asphalt and dirt roads; the 19-inch front wheel is accompanied by the 17-inch rear. The low ground clearance also makes it easy to maneuver the bike in traffic.
The instrument panel is mixed, digital / analog, with the circular instrument accompanied by the Royal Enfield Tripper navigation system which is always standard. It is a turn-by-turn navigation system that connects to the proprietary app, integrated with Google Maps. On a small but well-readable circular instrument, placed next to the main one, the centaur is provided with all the necessary road information. Speaking of colors, however, the liveries recall the culture of Street Art. The entry level versions available in Graphite Yellow, Graphite Red and Graphite Blue are joined by the White Flame and Silver Spirit variants of the top versions. The price has not yet been announced, but it should be around 5,000 euros, while the bike will be available from May.
