Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, continues to conquer the most important fashion catwalks worldwide and this time she did it at New York Fashion Week.

Palacios wore an impressive silver and black period dress, a creation of the Filipino designer Rian Fernandez at a show that took place at the Edison Ballroom in New York, USA.

“Fernández, who recently designed a dress for the last fashion show for Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, created a dress exclusively for Sheynnis. This design has delicate hand-embroidered art in a monochrome palette with inspiration from the 20s!, wrote the entertainment magazine Hola.

According to the designer, the dress celebrates the timeless and artisanal art of fashion. “Old is new again, and with inspiration from 20s fashion, Sheynnis will model a drop-waist dress designed exclusively for her with exquisite handwork in a monochrome palette,” Rian Fernandez explained.

“This work celebrates the art of fashion from its beginnings with a modern twist on an architectural construction that transforms into a living tapestry. Fashion becomes art, the perfect canvas for Sheynnis Palacios.”

“I am very excited about the show, this is what I dreamed of when I was a little girl practicing my walk down the catwalks. And the dress that Rian has created is more than just a look, it is a work of art,” Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios told HOLA! US.

Miss Universe will also walk on the Alonso Máximo catwalk this February 10, another great modeling event at the EPN New York Fashion Week. The activity is known for presenting international designers.
